New York, NY2001 First edition. Folded sheets, card. This is the program handed out to audience & participants at the memorial service held for Gregory Corso on March 11, 2001, in New York City. A 4-page booklet on folded card stock, listing participants including Deborah Harry, record producer Hal Wilner, Patti Smith, Ed Sanders, Peter Orlovsky & many others. There is a handwritten correction to his line done by poet Herschel Silverman. Front cover photo of Corso with dates of his birth & death. Back cover features Corso's poem, "Getting to the Poem." Also includes a separate card with a reproduction of a Corso drawing of various animals. In addition, includes a folded flyer, on the blank outside of which is a handwritten letter dated 3/13/2001 written by Herschel Silverman to Jeffrey Weinberg, publisher of Water Row Press. In the letter, Silverman writes about the Corso memorial, where it took place & who attended, & his performance at the service. the inside flyer is an announcement of a performance by musician/writer David Amram in celebration of the reissue of his autobiography, "Vibrations- a Memoir", & his then-forthcoming volume about his collaborations with Jack Kerouac, that was to be held on March 29, 2001.
