Third Mind Books proudly offers the Rolling Stone Collection, consisting of thirty-three issues spanning the years 1980-1983, along with an additional vintage issue of Record, a Rolling Stone publication from 1983. These issues, all complete & in near fine or better condition, are a record of popular/countercultural concerns with an emphasis on contemporary musicians. They are a time capsule, with astonishingly young-looking, up-&-coming figures who are now venerable pillars of the music-entertainment establishment gracing the iconic covers. Each issue is full of reviews of contemporary releases, especially music, articles & interviews on the most urgent topics of the day by legendary journalists, photos by Annie Lebowitz & other greats in their prime, & of course ads for LP records in the last years before CDs ascended, hit movies like E.T., the latest contemporary fashions & cutting-edge stereo technology that has been left in the dust. Most issues are in Very Fine condition, with only yellowing to some of the newsprint-quality pages, closed tears around some staples & very minor tears to some edges.
