Montreal, Quebec, Canada: National Film Board of Canada, 1987. First Printing. Single Sheet. A large original poster, 20" x 25", announcing the title film, a 1987 French-Canadian documentary of Jack Kerouac directed by Hermenegilde Chiasson. Boldly illustrated with images of Kerouac, a vintage car from the On the Road era, & the title in big, coarse letters. With a colorful decal, apparently as issued, at left-center upper edge. From the collection of James Perrizo (1944-2006), Beat collector, scholar & one-time assistant to Edie Kerouac Parker, Jack's former wife. As with many other items we offer, this appears to be from the same period & location as the Conference on Jack Kerouac held in Quebec during October 1-4, 1987. Perrizo very likely obtained this while attending that event. An electrifying, haunting Kerouac image, in very fine, virtually mint condition with only a very slight crease near lower left corner.
Item is currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrink wrap, will be shipped carefully rolled in a tube. This item cannot be sent by Media Mail, so extra shipping/handling charges are required. Very Fine. [Item #1780]
