Beat Legacy, Connections, Influences: Allen Ginsberg

Louisville, KY: White fields Press, 1994. Limited First Edition. Stapled Wrappers. Signed by Allen Ginsberg. This is #40 in the Published in Heaven Chapbook Series issued by the White Fields Press in a limited edition of 250 copies. A chapbook with several poems by Allen Ginsberg, including a revised version of Put Down Your Cigarette Rag (Don't Smoke), facsimiles of postcards & a letter from Ginsberg to fellow poet Ron Whitehead, & an essay about Ginsberg by photographer, filmmaker & editor Gordon Ball which was delivered by him at the now-legendary Beat Generation Conference held at NYU in 1994 (attended by this writer). With a photograph of Ginsberg taken by himself in the mirror (an early form of selfie you might say) reproduced on back cover. This copy is signed by Ginsberg on the front cover, along with his characteristic "AH" in a circle. A rare late Ginsberg collectible, in very fine condition with only mild rubbing & soiling to front & back covers, slight creasing at spine esp. near top, very tiny bumps at corners. Very Fine.
