Bombay Gin No. 7, Summer-Fall 1979

Boulder, CO: Bombay Gin Editions, 1980. First Printing. Stapled Sheets. This number of the first series of the literary journal published at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at The Naropa Institute (now Naropa University) begins with a poem co-written in 1958 by Jack Kerouac, Gregory Corso & Allen Ginsberg entitled "Nixon," with very wacky Beat riffs on the then-U.S. Vice President. Below is a hilarious 1979 explanatory note by Ginsberg & Corso. While this bizarre contribution is itself worth the proverbial price of admission, there are also poems by Beat & post-Beat luminaries Kathy Acker, Ted Berrigan, William S. Burroughs Jr., Corso, Ginsberg, Peter Orlovsky, Anne Waldman; along with many others. A most interesting & collectible compilation, in very fine condition with only very light rubbing, scratching & minor crease-bumps to corners of front, back covers, spine of stacked sheets & edges; dusting of tiny spots throughout upper edge likely as issued. Interior very fine with only very light browning to edges of pages, minor wave-bump through top right corner of pages. Very Fine. [Item #1988]
