Untitled Broadside ("How shall I win you to me?..."). Diane di Prima.

Untitled Broadside ("How shall I win you to me?...")

Minneapolis, MN: The Toothpaste Press, 1980. Limited First Edition. Single Sheet. Numbered & signed by Diane di Prima. A broadside (approx. 9&1/2"x13") "...printed on the occasion of the author's reading at Walker Art Center on November 6, 1980..." with a poem by Diane di Prima, among the scarce group of female writers who were members of the Beat Generation. Preceded by a suggestive quote by Thomas Vaughn (presumably a misspelling of the seventeenth-century Welsh philosopher Thomas Vaughan) on which the poem ribaldly riffs in a mock-antiquated style. One of 85 copies numbered & hand-signed by the poet, this is copy No. 64/85. A beautiful production on coarse-textured handmade paper with irregular left & lower edges as issued, & a very rare di Prima collectible. In very fine condition, virtually mint, with impressed watermark at lower left portion. Very Fine. [Item #2032]
