Beach & Pelieu were long-time collaborators with WSB, & important writers, publishers & artists over many years. They were also the mother & stepfather of Pamela Beach Plymell, who along with her husband Charles Plymell also collaborated with & published works of WSB. A softcover original in sewn binding, this is the first French printing of October 29, 1969 as noted in the last colophon page. Part of a series entitled "Les Livres noirs" as noted in vertical text along lower left edge of front cover. Text in French. A very rare WSB collectible outside of France, in near-fine condition with only moderate rubbing, creasing & scratching to laminated front, back covers & spine; vertical creases along spine; small bumps & chips along corners & edges of covers & spine; browning, mild soiling & scratching to all edges.
