A first printing (dated October 26, 1973 on colophon page) of a softcover original in sewn binding, part of the publisher's Les Livres Noirs series. Text in French. A collectible Kerouac rarity with the perspective of an author who shared his subject's French-Canadian heritage. In very fine condition with only very mild rubbing & scratching to black laminated front, back covers & spine; very light chipping at upper & lower edges of same; light soiling to lower & side edges. Interior very fine with only light crease-wave at upper right corners of about two-thirds of pages, decreasing from front toward back. Very Fine. [Item #2063]
