A broadside (11"x17") with the title poem dated "3 May 1986" by Clayton Eshleman, acclaimed poet, translator, editor & educator. One of an edition of 150 hand-numbered copies printed on the occasion of a reception for the poet on October 24, 1986 at Shaman Drum Bookshop, this is copy No. 28/150. Shaman Drum was the premier independent bookshop in Ann Arbor, Michigan for three decades until its closing in 2009, founded & led by the late Karl Pohrt, our mentor whose legacy we hope to perpetuate. Below the poem is Eshleman's signature in bold blue ink. A signature is not called for in the colophon information, he undoubtedly signed this along with others in the edition at the reception. With illustration. A rare & beautiful Eshleman collectible, & an important memento of the glory days of Shaman Drum. In very fine condition with only tiny bumps at both upper corners & lower right corner. Mounted on stiff board, in protective shrinkwrap.
