Coventry, England: The Beat Scene Press, 2008. First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. This number of "A little magazine of the Beat Generation," edited & published by Kevin Ring in the UK, features a lengthy article by Ring about a fabled interview with Jack Kerouac by poets Ted Berrigan, Duncan McNaughton & Aram Saroyan which took place in 1967 for publication in The Paris Review. Also poems by Barry Gifford & Michael McClure; an interview with poet Joanne Kyger conducted by Trevor Carolan; & reviews of a compilation of William Wantling's poetry by Jim Burns & of a CD recording featuring Anne Waldman by Michael Kearns. With illustrations & photographs, including an illustration of Kerouac in his later years by Don Asmussen on front cover; & a photo of McClure with artist Bruce Conner (to whom his poem is dedicated) & actor Dennis Hopper taken by Larry Keenan in the late 1990s on back cover. Another important & increasingly rare production in this collectible series. In very fine condition with only very mild creasing along stapled spine; a few tiny dents along top edges of front & back covers; tiny bumps at top corners of same. Interior mint except for bump extending from top corner of front cover through about the first five page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #2136]
