Number 26 in the Beat Scene Press Pocket Book Series published by Kevin Ring in the UK, this is a small compilation of letters written by the great American poet Lew Welch, who in 1971 departed from his friend Gary Snyder's California property into the surrounding wilderness & disappeared. Including a letter to Jack Kerouac written on January 9, 1960; & another to Snyder from February 1 of that year; among others. One of a limited edition of 125 hand-numbered copies produced in July of 2010, this is copy No. 88/125. A desirable item for collectors of this mysterious, tragic figure of the Beat Generation, & an important part of this rare series. In very fine condition with only faint creases at upper right corner & along side edge of front cover; very mild creases at stapled spine. Interior virtually mint. Very Fine. [Item #2141]
