As indicated on the colophon page, this is one of 1000 hardcover copies. Of those, 50 copies were signed by the poet & artist Joe Brainard, who illustrated the dust jacket cover. This copy is among the 950 unsigned trade editions of the first printing. With dust jacket cover art by legendary writer-artist Joe Brainard as noted; & a photograph of Waldman by Gerard Malanga, the poet, photographer & Warhol associate, on rear dust jacket flap. Among the essential rarities for the Waldman collector. Book in very fine condition, with only the slightest fading to purple cloth at/near top of spine; otherwise virtually mint inside & out. Dust jacket in fine condition with only very light rubbing, creasing & sunning to front, back covers & spine; one small closed tear & tiny chip at lower left corner of back cover. Very Fine / Fine.
