An oblong-format (4&3/8"x10") booklet with the long, many-sectioned titled poem & dream record by Anne Waldman, one of the primary poets of the later Beat Generation, the New York School & beyond. As noted by the poet on the copyright/invocation page, "This work composed on a bus, down a motel corridor, in a coliseum, while traveling with The Rolling Thunder Revue, November--December 1975." The legendary Revue was a traveling show led by Bob Dylan. With front cover photo image of Waldman by Gianfranco Mantegna & inside drawing below end of poem by Hatha. Stated first edition, one of 250 hand-numbered copies, this is copy No. 217/250. A rare relic of the earlier Waldman canon. In near-fine condition with only mild rubbing, creasing & spotting to black front & white back covers; slight wear, chipping & creasing at all edges & corners of same; several small, irregular spot-stains in right-mid blank area of back cover; outer staples just beginning to rust. Interior very fine except for very light browning of pages; very slight bleeding of rust from inner folded staple-ends at middle. Near Fine. [Item #2315]
