Cabin

Lunenburg, VT: Z Press, 1981. Limited First Edition. Stapled Wrappers. A short chapbook of poems by Anne Waldman, among the primary poets of the later Beat Generation, the New York School & beyond; leader of the Poetry Project at St. Marks on-the Bowery; co-founder with Allen Ginsberg of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University. One of a first edition of 500 copies printed in August 1981 by the Stinehour Press & designed by Freeman Keith, as noted in the colophon/limitation page. There were 26 lettered copies signed by the poet, & 474 regular copies of which this is one. An exquisite production, with inner flaps noting other publications by this imprint of many illustrious writers. An important collectible from the early-mid Waldman canon. In very fine condition with only very slight rubbing to coarse-textured light yellow front & back covers; tiny crease at upper right corner of back cover; staples just beginning to rust. Interior virtually mint except for very slight rusting of inner staple folds as above with a tiny amount of bleeding. Very Fine. [Item #2323]
