Love & the Falling Iron

Bolinas, CA: Yanagi, 1977. Limited First Edition. Single Sheet. A large broadside (17"x22") with the title poem by Ed Sanders, the legendary, still quite active figure in the literary, publishing & musical counterculture of 1960s NYC & beyond. There is a reference to John Keats in the first line ("Keats is dead..."), & an illustration of a mashed-up version of Keats' poem "Ode to a Nightingale" in an outlined square to the right & below Sanders' poem. One of the Yanagi IV Broadside Series, produced in 1977 in an edition of 300. This is hand-numbered copy No. 88/300. A bold, beautiful production, & a rare Sanders collectible. In very fine condition with only one horizontal crease (about 5" long) from upper right edge that may very well be a flaw as issued; one very small crease at upper right corner. Currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrinkwrap. Will be shipped carefully rolled in a tube. Very Fine. [Item #2328]
