A broadside (approx. 9&7/8"x13&1/8") with the title poem by Edward Sanders, a primary poet, publisher & musician of the 1960s NYC counterculture & beyond, still going strong as of this writing. The poem is Sanders' translation of a work by the ancient Greek poet Sappho. One of 90 hand-numbered copies produced "...on the occasion of the author's reading at Walker Art Center, February 3 (1983)" as stated in colophon/limitation information. This is copy No. 87/90. Sanders has hand-signed his name below the poem. A beautiful production, & an important Sanders collectible. In very fine condition, virtually mint, on delicate handmade paper with slightly irregular left & bottom edges. Currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrinkwrap.
