San Francisco, CA: Arif Press, Circa 1973. First Printing. Single Sheet. Hand-inscribed, signed & dated by Anne Waldman. A broadside (10"x11&1/2") with the short, evocative title poem by Anne Waldman, a primary poet of the later Beat Generation, the New York School & beyond- still going very strong at (almost) age 71 as this writer witnessed at her reading in Ann Arbor & at the European Beat Studies Network Conference in Brussels, where she was the keynote speaker, both last year (2015). Issued by the noted Arif Press in San Francisco in an unknown limitation. There is no printed date, but we have seen references to 1973 as the year of publication. Below her printed name after the poem, Waldman has hand-written in thick black ink: "for Larry/Love,/(signed) Anne/June 11. 74" A beautiful production, & an already extraordinarily rare Waldman collectible made more so with the poet's relatively early hand-inscription, signature & date, written close to the probable year of publication. In very fine condition with only a few short, faint creases at & near lower right & bottom edges; short vertical series of tiny pin-impressions near mid-left edge that are probably as issued on coarse-textured handmade paper.
Item is currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrink wrap, will be shipped carefully rolled in a tube. This item cannot be sent by Media Mail, so extra shipping/handling charges are required. Very Fine. [Item #2468]
