Love is No Stone on the Moon. Lawrence Ferlinghetti.

Love is No Stone on the Moon

Berkeley, CA: Arif Press, 1971. First Edition. Stapled Wrappers. A strange rarity in the Lawrence Ferlinghetti canon, "Love is No Stone on the Moon" is comprised of inverted pages from other sources printed over with an "automatic poem" no doubt influenced by his study of French emperor of Surrealism André Breton and his caustic rebel contemporaries. The actual poem spans a short seven pages, and is printed in the author's own hand, much like what can be found in "Tyrannus Nix?" and "Back Roads to Far Towns after Basho." One of only 1000 copies (Morgan A30). A wonderful Ferlinghetti collectible. In very fine condition with only very slight rubbing to front, back wrappers and spine; light browning to close edges of same; one tiny spot between nose and mouth of illustrated face on front cover. Interior very fine. Very Fine. [Item #2535]
