Beat Scene No. 77

Coventry, England: Beat Scene Press, 2015. First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. Beat Scene No. 77 begins with an excerpt from one of the newest posthumously assembled story collections from poetic giant Charles Bukowski, followed shortly thereafter by an interview with Philip Whalen biographer David Schneider. Also featured is an article on William S. Burroughs' time in London and another on the Hardiment Suitcase--a suitcase left behind by Burroughs and subsequently recovered by acquaintance Melville Hardiment. Crowning this issue is a rare anecdote from Peter Anastas, friend of revered poet Charles Olson, on an embarrassingly drunken Jack Kerouac visiting Olson in October of 1968. As new with only slightest evidence of bump-creasing on top right-hand corner of front cover and slight bumping on top fine edge of same. As New. [Item #2569]
