Milwaukee, WI: Carnaby Mfg. Co., 1970. First Printing. Single Sheet. A poster (18" x 28 &1/2") spoofing the U.S. Department of Defense Civil Defense system, in the form of a notice, flanked by official logos, with "Instruction to Patrons on Premises in Case of Nuclear Attack:" The last of seven instructions famously states: "Then kiss your ass goodbye." A classic relic of the idealism of the 1960s curdling into bitter disillusionment & protest, vintage 1970 as copyrighted. An exceptionally large & bold exemplar of this once-popular, now collectible item found in various forms & sizes. In very fine condition with only rows of very light waving & a few faint creases across surface, at & near upper & esp. side edges; tiny bumps & miniscule damage at corners; otherwise very bright, clean & crisp.
Item is currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrink wrap, will be shipped carefully rolled in a tube. This item cannot be sent by Media Mail, so extra shipping/handling charges are required. Very Fine. [Item #2846]
