Florence, MA: Glass Eye Books, 2007. First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. Signed by Iconic Literary Outlaw Charles Plymell. (#20 of 74 Unnumbered Copies). Charles Plymell, the seminal underground figure whose pioneering involvement in underground comix, early arrival on the San Francisco literary scene of the early 1960s, and myth-birthing stay with Neal Cassady at 1403 Gough Street in San Francisco are only a few examples of his enduring importance to the Beat-&-Beyond community. Associations aside, Plymell is a poet of underestimated power, and those who survey his catalogue will cite apexes like this as sure reason to afford him the praise, recognition, and ultimately respect his relentlessly subversive commitment to the literary arts deserves. Cover art by S. Clay Wilson, the internationally-renowned illustrator & longtime collaborator and friend of Plymell. Signed by the poet in black pen ink on the title page. Signature reads: "Charles Plymell." From the collection of Charles Plymell. Chapbook in very fine condition with only slight rubbing to front, back covers; slightest shelf-wear at all fine-edges; slight indentation near top right-hand corner of verso nearest top-right fine-edge, likely resultant from shelf-wear described above. Very Fine. [Item #2878]
