Great Barrington, MA: The Figures, 1988. First Edition. Stapled Wrappers. A chapbook of poems by Tim Robinson, the noted Illinois-born, San Francisco-centered poet. The untitled works all begin with a paragraph of prose, or prose-poetry, that resembles dream-notes crossed with stage-directions; followed by a lean, minimal yet evocative poem. Although Robinson is associated with the San Francisco Language school & we would not consider him a Beat or Beat progeny, the very first sentence of the first poem reads: "Kerouac narrating Pull My Daisy." An essential collectible in the Robinson canon. In very fine condition with only minimal wear & bumps at edges & corners of front, back covers & esp. spine; staples in process of rusting with tiny amount of bleeding. Interior very fine with only staple-rust noted above; tiny bumps at corners of some page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #3086]
