Our Lady of Fall River. Stephen Ronan.
Our Lady of Fall River

Our Lady of Fall River

Berkeley, CA: Ammunition Press, 1983. Second Printing. Stapled Wrappers. A chapbook of the title poem by the late Berkeley-based poet-bookseller Stephen Ronan. The poem is all about Lizzie Borden (a/k/a "Our Lady of Fall River"), whose sinister legacy haunts the town of Fall River, Massachusetts, where Ronan was born & then lived. With photographs, uncredited & presumably taken by the poet, of Borden's home, family grave monuments, etc. With image of Borden on front cover. As noted in colophon, this production was originally published in January 1983 in an edition of 250 copies; the copyright page has an apparently hand-typed or stamped note stating "Second Printing APR87." The limitation of this second printing is unknown. An interesting rarity by a significant American poet who has fallen into obscurity, deserving of resurrection by readers & collectors. In very fine condition, with only slightest wear at stapled spine, otherwise all but mint inside & out. Very Fine. [Item #3105]

Price: $15.00
