Shingletown, CA & Englewood, CO: Andy Watson & Mark V. Ziesing, 1989. First Printing. Softcover. This first number of the literary journal edited & published by Andy Watson & Mark V. Ziesing (the latter a prolific small press publisher & bookseller since the 1970s) features the transcript of an interview with Abbie Hoffman (1936-1989), the Yippie firebrand-anarchist of the 1960s counterculture, conducted by the "Ganeymedean Slime Mold" video group on March 29, 1988- just over a year before he committed suicide on April 12, 1989 (as noted in preamble to the interview). Also an interview with acclaimed Scottish science-fiction author Iain M. Banks (1954-2013) conducted by fellow UK sci-fi author David S. Garnett during May 28, 1989; an essay by novelist John Shirley about his experiences as a Hollywood screenwriter; & much more. With a stirringly idealistic introduction by Watson & Ziesing, photographs, & illustrations by Mark Bilokur. A desirable literary rarity with substantive content, in very fine condition with only very slight amount of rubbing & scratching to front, back covers & spine; minor-to-miniscule wear & bumps to edges & corners of same. Interior very fine with only tiny bumps at corners of a few page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #3151]
