Idols of Fear

Idols of Fear

Detroit, MI: Mick Vranich, 1989. First Edition. Cassette in Case. An original cassette studio recording of a reading-performance by Mick Vranich (1946-2010), a workingman poet-musician, somewhat in the tradition of Philip Levine, who was devoted to his gritty city of Detroit & died tragically as the result of a work-related injury. With four original poem-songs, two on each side, featuring Vranich on guitar & vocals; Mark Grafe on bass guitar; Bill Gross on congas & Glen Myrick on tenor saxophone. Recorded & mixed by Ralph Franklin in Detroit. With case insert featuring cover artwork by Vranich's wife, Sherry Hendrick; printed lyrics. A collectible Vranich relic, produced on collectible, antiquated contemporary media. In apparently very fine condition with only mild, sparse scratching to clear plastic front, spine & partial back surfaces of case. Very Fine. [Item #3156]
