Ann Arbor, MI: Richard Grossinger & Lindy Hough, 1966. First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. Signed by Diane Wakoski. This third number of the literary journal edited, published & with contributions by Richard Grossinger & Lindy Hough features two poems by Diane Wakoski, the acclaimed & prolific Beat-influenced poet then-associated with the Deep Image School. Below her second poem, "How Can I Deal with my Problems, Kenkyusha?," next to reproduction of an ancient petroglyph (one of many throughout issue), Wakoski has hand-written her signature with characteristic series of vertical doodles in bold blue ink. Also in this issue are contributions of poetry & prose by Black-Mountain-&-Beyond icon Paul Blackburn; Grossinger; Hough; Ethnopoetics inventor-practitioner Jerome Rothenberg; Charles Stein & more. With front cover & interior illustrations by Philip Terry Borden, notes on contributors, contemporary ads, etc. A rare & important issue in this legendary series published at different rotating locations (in this case our home base of Ann Arbor); & a very desirable early Wakoski collectible. In relatively very fine condition with only mild rubbing, browning & a few tiny spots at front, back covers & stapled spine; mild wear & a few tiny bumps at edges & corners of same; mild rubbing & occasional spotting to edges of text block; staples beginning to rust with miniscule bleeding at outside & inside of spine. Interior very fine with only small-to-tiny bumps, creases at corners of some page leaves; bit of rust-bleeding at inner spine noted above. Very Fine. [Item #3485]
