With front cover artwork by acclaimed artist Jim Dine, including facsimile of Dine's hand-written signature & date (1967). A production of Angel Hair Books, the imprint of Anne Waldman & Lewis Warsh at the fertile apex of the lower east side NYC independent publication phenomenon. As noted in colophon, this is one of an "ordinary edition" of 500 copies, i.e. a first limited trade edition. Large chapbook-format in stapled wrappers. A classic Clark-Padgett-1960s NYC collectible, in very fine condition with only light rubbing & a few short, faint crease-scratches to front, back covers & stapled spine; very light wear & a few tiny bumps at edges & corners of same; mild rubbing, browning & occasional spotting to edges of text block. Interior very fine with only tiny bumps, small creases at upper corners of page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #3544]
