Santa Monica, CA: The Lapis Press, 1986. First Softcover Edition. Softcover. Signed by Tom Clark at his introduction. "The dramatic voices of these poems are metaphors for states of the soul seeking its context. They are given existence by a writer whose most salient gift is her awesome capacity for surrendering authorial identification with the voicing of the work." (from Introduction by Tom Clark) An early collection of poems & prose-poems by Amy Gerstler, an acclaimed & prize-winning American poet. With table of contents following poems; introduction by the esteemed poet, editor, novelist & biographer Tom Clark (1941-2018) quoted above; front & back cover artwork incorporating a hand x-ray by Alexis Smith.
