Broadside: "RANT"
Louisville, KY: White Fields Press/ The Literary Renaissance, 1993. First Printing. Single Sheet. "You cannot write a single line w/out a cosmology/ a cosmogony/ laid out, before all eyes" (first stanza) A large broadside (appx. 24" x 34&7/8") with the title poem by Diane di Prima (1934-2020), primary poet of the Beat Generation & beyond, among the few females in that original group who very recently as of this writing has passed away. As noted, the poem was published three years earlier (1990) in di Prima's collection Pieces of Song, with a foreword by Robert Creeley (here misspelled as "Creely"), published by City LIghts Books. A bold, riveting production on quality paper stock by Ron Whitehead & Kent Fielding's White Fields Press/ The Literary Renaissance, the acclaimed imprint-series "Supporting a global literary community." First printing of unknown limitation. An emphatic, loudly seeking exemplary poetic "RANT" indeed; & a most desirable collectible by Diane di Prima, now vanished in body but immortal in spirit & literature. In fine condition with mild wear, tiny bumps & mild-to-moderate creasing at/near blank (esp. left side) edges & corners. Currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrinkwrap. Will be shipped carefully rolled in a tube. This item cannot be sent by Media Mail, so extra shipping & handling charges are required. Fine. [Item #3921]
