(title poem, first lines) A chapbook of poems including the title poem by Ted Archer Pope, a younger American poet. With front cover reproduction of an illustration by Eric C. Harrison. On front blank endpaper opposite title page, Pope has hand-written, signed & dated the year after publication: (signed) Ted/Pope/ 2005." A simple production in stapled wrappers. Pope is among the new generation of poets crowned as "Grandbaby Beats" by Thomas Rain Crowe, the acclaimed poet & publisher who was at the center of the Baby Beat Generation/ Second San Francisco Renaissance during the 1970s (see our book, Starting From San Francisco, Item No. 3071, Deluxe Edition No. 3075). Crowe, a fellow North Carolinian, refers to Pope as an exemplar of this latest Beat Progeny Generation on page 80 of SFSF, & this collection is from Crowe's library. An up-&-coming literary collectible. In very fine condition with only very slight rubbing to stapled front, back covers & spine; tiny bumps & some light creases at/ near edges & corners of same.
