Nowhere Man

Ashland, KY: BullHead Books, 2019. First Edition. Sewn Wrappers. "As good a critic as he was, he was a better poet. My claim. And hence this book. Not to prove anything, but to give the materials for the reason for such a claim." (Joe Napora, from "Rythm & Roots, to Open the Door," on Ken Warren) A compendium of poems, letters & other writings by Ken Warren (1952-2015), a librarian, publisher, editor, critic & poet's-poet who resided in Lakewood, Ohio. An exemplary unpaginated chapbook production in sewn wrappers by BullHead Books, the imprint of noted poet-editor-publisher Joe Napora, who knew & revered Warren. With short memorial essay by Napora (quoted above), color reproductions of artworks & photographs, many graphic symbols etc. A beautiful tribute to an iconoclastic, humorous & whimsical man of letters. In very fine condition with only very slight rubbing to front, back covers & sewn spine; a bit of wear & a few tiny bumps at edges & corners of same. Interior very fine with only tiny bumps at mostly upper corners of page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #3957]
