Music in the Key of C: Part 5

Blue Creek, OH: Bloody Twin Press, 1995. First Edition. Sewn Binding in Over-Wraps. "Gracious flower from a little bud/ do come back but no you can't/ and what you can't I would not want." (from "Recall Beyond Recalling") A collection of poems by Theodore Enslin (1925-2011), the venerable, prolific poet who was first associated with Cid Corman's Origin magazine & press, Charles Olson, Robert Creeley, & the Black Mountain & Objectivist Schools. Enslin studied & was sensitive to music, & his poetry as here has been said to be distinguished by a special "musicality" among American poets. A beautifully crafted little chapbook production of July 1995 per colophon, no limitation noted, in sewn binding with over-wraps including flaps attached to & over blank wrappers. With musical-notation graphics on over-wrap front cover & title page. A very rare & desirable Enslin collectible, in very fine condition with only a bit of wear & a few tiny bumps, creases at thin edges & corners of over-wrap front, back covers & spine; otherwise essentially mint inside & out. Very Fine. [Item #3968]
