Thomas Rain Crowe, the acclaimed North Carolinian poet & publisher who was at the center of the BBG/ SSFR during the 1970s, mentions Pope as exemplary of the "grandbaby Beats" who have been inspired & mentored by the previous Beat Generations & are creating their own unique oeuvres (see our book, Starting From San Francisco, Item No. 3071, Deluxe Edition No. 3075, pg. 80).
