First published in 2007 as "A House of Girls," this edition was published in France & translated from English into the French language by Antoine Bargel. A beautiful, exemplary softcover original production, second edition of 2013 (first edition published during 2011) as noted on copyright page. With front cover color reproduction of a photograph taken at the legendary 1969 Woodstock music festival by Elliott Landy. On the title page, just below his printed name, Crowe has hand-written his signature in bold blue ink. The back-cover copy of the original English-language version of this work (see our Item No. 4213) states: "In this linked-stories, coming-of-age book of autobiographical fiction, we see and hear echoes of great writers in this (Bildungsroman) tradition, such as Goethe, Joyce, Novalis, Dickens and Thomas Mann.
