Hamburg, Germany: Gingko Press, 1992. Limited First Edition Thus. Hardcover in Slipcase. Signed by R. Crumb. “The comics are where all the crazy subconscious stuff come out,” said R. Crumb, the subversive Underground Comix visionary described by George DiCaprio as “…the George Washington of Underground Comix.” Echoing Kerouac’s dictum to “…satisfy yourself first, then reader cannot fail to receive telepathic shock and meaning-excitement by same laws operating in his own human mind,” Crumb also wrote: “The work itself is what motivates me. I like my own stuff, you know? I like the way it looks. I do it to please myself first.” This collection, originally published by Black Sparrow Press as a limited edition in 1990, consists of three classic R. Crumb stories: "The Story O' My Life," "People..Ya Gotta Love 'Em," and "I'm Grateful! I'm Grateful!" This is the beautiful Gingko Press signed, limited edition in gray cloth and publisher's slipcase. It is one of 500 numbered copies signed by R. Crumb; this copy is #160/500.
