Cherry Valley, NY: Cherry Valley Editions, 1981. Limited First Edition. Softcover. Inscribed & signed by Charles Henri Ford to Reginald Boss. The sequel to Om Krishna I (see esp. item No.s 4347, 4362) by Charles Henri Ford (1908-2002) the Mississippi-born cult proto- & post-Beat poet, writer, artist, LGBT pioneer & polymath who was the brother of the noted actress Ruth Ford & who hobnobbed personally & professionally with almost every noted creative figure one could think of over most of the twentieth century. The epic second poem in the Om Krishna cycle is structured in three phases & twenty-seven stanzas. Trade-format softcover, one of 975 copies in a limited first edition of 1000 which included 26 hardcover copies each signed, lettered & with an original (Indra) artwork, per colophon. A production of Cherry Valley Editions, the imprint of Legendary Literary Outlaw Charles Plymell & his wife, Pamela Beach Plymell. Although this copy does not call for it, on the shorter title page, Ford has hand-written, signed & dated during the year of publication (in thick but unfortunately somewhat faded brown ink): "Reginald/ I'm happy/ it's you/ (signed) Charles Henri/ 13 Dec(ember) 81." "Reginald" is Reginald Boss, Ford's friend & colleague who was the editor of Boss Magazine. A very rare & unique collectible by the kaleidoscopic Charles Henri Ford, who was said to "...beat the Beat Generation by a Generation" with his scandalous first novel The Young and Evil (1933), & who edited the iconic Surrealist magazine View (1940-47, see item No. 1791) among the many milestones in his long & most colorful career. In very fine condition with only very slight rubbing to front, back covers & spine; a bit of wear & a few tiny bumps at edges & corners of same; thin, faint crease along length of front cover at blank area just next to spine; a bit of rubbing & very light, sparse spotting to edges of text block. Interior very fine with only tiny bumps, faint creases at mostly upper corners of a few page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #4377]
