This vintage millennial number of the magazine-format literary journal edited & published by Kevin Ring in the UK features a lengthy, fascinating conversation/ interview with Neal Cassady's son John, conducted by Steve Edington during 2000. Also in this issue are interviews with Jason Eisenberg about the influential proto-Beat comedian known as Lord Buckley conducted by Ring circa 2000; with Beat Generation Founding Father Allen Ginsberg conducted by Vojo Sindolic in 1986; & with Richard Brautigan's daughter Ianthe about her acclaimed cult-author father conducted by Ring, also circa 2000; an appreciation of the legendary Black Mountain-&-Beyond poet Edward Dorn, who had died the previous year (1999) by Iain Sinclair; articles about Jack Kerouac by Jim Jones (no relation we're sure to the mass-murdering preacher), Kenneth Patchen by Barbara Read, Gary Snyder by Ken Schumacher & other Beat luminaries; & yet more- including transcript of a letter to canonical playwright-author William Saroyan from Sebastian Sampas, Jack Kerouac's close friend who would shortly be killed in World War II, with commentary by William's son the great poet Aram Saroyan.
