This is a larger chapbook with the title poem by Allen Ginsberg, produced for NYC's legendary, now-gone Gotham Book Mart by Profile Press in August 1972. First printing as stated. With beautiful black & white photographs by William Webb; & a color reproduction of a painting of Bixby Canyon by Emil White, tipped-in to the front cover. The Canyon, & the Big Sur area of California, were inspirations to Jack Kerouac & Ginsberg. The poem is dedicated to "Miles," who is Barry Miles, his friend & the author of many works, including biographies of Ginsberg & William S. Burroughs. A collectible memento with various associations, in near-fine condition with moderate creasing, browning, scratching, soiling & spotting to front & rear wrappers; mild scratching & wear to edges of tipped-in front cover illustration, very small piece missing from upper right edge of same; staples beginning to rust.
