A small booklet of photographic portraits of six iconic, mostly Beat-literary figures taken in the early 1970s by Gerard Malanga, poet & important member of the Andy Warhol "factory" mileu at the height of the 1960s counterculture & beyond. The portraits are of William S. Burroughs, Candy Darling (the late transgender Warhol "superstar" cult figure), Allen Ginsberg, Mick Jagger, Anne Waldman & John Weiners. One of 600 copies. One of the key collectibles showcasing Malanga as a photographer, in fine condition with only creasing & rubbing at thin spine, staples in process of rusting, very mild scratching of black-background front cover (featuring a portrait of WSB repeated inside), mild scratching & spotting of white rear cover, tiny bumps at all corners of covers, very mild chipping & rubbing of cover edges. Interior very fine with only slightest browning to edges of glossy pages not effecting images, mild spotting on title page. Fine. [Item #1966]
