Brother, Can You Spare $1 for the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers?

San Francisco, CA: The Rip Off Press, 1978. Second Printing. Stapled Wrappers. The fourth number of the iconic trio's (& Fat Freddy's cat, of course) stoned adventures in the now-classic underground comix series. Written by Gilbert Shelton, & co-illustrated by him & Dave Sheridan. Among the episodes in this issue is the very lengthy saga of "The 7th Voyage of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers: A Mexican Odyssey." Originally published in 1975, this is the second printing of 1978, as indicated by the reference to "$1" cover price in the title. The first printing asked if you could spare seventy-five cents, an alternate second printing quotes no cover price & the third printing has a $1.25 cover price, according to established scholarship. An important collectible for the adult Freak aficionado, in its second-rarest form.
