This number of the venerable academic literary journal of the southern U.S. (among whose advisory & contributing editors were Walker Percy & Eudora Welty) includes a short story by Charles Baxter ("Shelter"); a portfolio of very haunting illustrations by Lilly Rosa (who also illustrated the front cover); & many more contributions. With reviews, vintage ads, etc. Among those to whom this issue is dedicated in memory of is Malcolm Cowley, who had died earlier that year (1989). A desirable literary artifact, in very fine condition with only lightest rubbing, scratching & spotting front, back covers; small bumps at top edge & corners of front cover. Interior very fine.
