A broadside-poster (11"x17") announcing a COSMEP (Committee of Small Magazine Editors and Publishers) Conference at California State College in California, Pennsylvania during June 15-22, 1980. Among those noted to conduct readings & workshops were Allen Ginsberg, a primary founder of the Beat Generation; Arthur & Kit Knight, the pioneering Beat scholarship & publishing team that issued the important series of publications under the title "Unspeakable Visions of the Individual" during this period; & acclaimed poet Diane Wakoski. Also participating at this event were writers Michael Hogan; Mark Harris (author of novel & screenplay "Bang the Drum Slowly"); Laurel Speer & others. With images from photographs of all the participants except Ginsberg & Harris. As stated at top, "What the Hell is a COSMEP Writers' Conference?" It must have been a hell of a conference indeed. A bright, beautiful, most collectible piece of Ginsberg & co. literary ephemera. In very fine condition with only one faint horizontal crease through middle where originally folded in half; slightest amount of wear & rubbing at thinnest right & lower edges. Currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrinkwrap. Will be shipped carefully re-folded as originally issued. Very Fine. [Item #2634]
