H.R.H. Lord Buckley the Most Immaculately Hip Aristocrat and Hipster of the Heart

Coventry, England: The Beat Scene Press, 2015. Limited First Edition. Stapled Wrappers. (#35/100) In this exceptional long poem from Heathcote Williams, he explores the enduring influence Lord Buckley exerted on the young writers & musicians of his time, welding biography, ode & elegy to craft a creatively original reflection on this oft-mentioned Beat predecessor. Williams himself is an accomplished poet & incredibly intriguing figure, whose life & career range from co-writing lyrics with Marianne Faithful to being a revolutionary secessionist leader in the Notting Hill housing community named "Frestonia." Frestonia flourished for five long years, and Prime Minister Geoffrey Howe sanctioned Williams "Ambassador to the UK" in curious respect; thus allowing the community's temporal secession. Frestonia had its own postage stamps & got close to the point of establishing its own currency. At 74 years old at the time of this writing, his commentary on current affairs is still making waves.
