This number of the literary journal published & edited by the late Santa Monica poet Steve Richmond (1941-2009) features three contributions by his famous associate, the Beat-&-Beyond Sui Generis Charles Bukowski, including the poem "like blasted apart by a bomb with the first breath" & the short story "about the destruction of a tail fin." Also contributions of poetry by fellow Bukowski cohort Gerald Locklin; the acclaimed & prolific Robert Peters; the legendary A.D. Winans (including a short, untitled memoir of his life in North Beach, San Francisco with other well-known writers); Richmond himself (including several works modeled on the classic Japanese Gagaku form he specialized in) & many more. A desirable & collectible relic of recent literary history. In near-fine condition with only mild rubbing & mostly faint scratching to medium-dark blue front, back covers & spine; mild wear at all corners & edges of same esp. upper right corner of front cover & lower left side corner of back cover incl. very small semi-circular closed gauge-tear; slight water(?) staining with attendant curving beginning at upper right corner of front cover, through interior & onto upper left corner of back cover; mostly sparse spotting & staining of text block edges esp. at stained area described above.
