This number of the esteemed literary journal is subtitled as the "Final Regular Issue" & is edited by the eminent Michigan writers Dan Gerber & the late, larger-than-life Jim Harrison. Among the co-editors of this issue is Thomas McGuane, designated "Fiction Editor" & destined to become the acclaimed novelist, very early in his career. Also featuring an interview of McGuane conducted by Harrison. Contributors include the late, venerable poet Denise Levertov. With reviews, including by the legendary professor Bert G. Hornback, who taught this writer at the University of Michigan Honors English program oh-so-long ago; & the great poet-founder of the ethnopoetics movement, Jerome Rothenberg. With brief notes on contributors, contemporary ads, etc. Beautiful photographs by LaVerne Clark, Gerber & Robert Wargo interspersed throughout. A desirable issue in this collectible series. In very fine condition with only very slight rubbing, scratching & a few tiny spots to front, back covers & spine; tiny bumps at corners of same; faint red rub-marks mostly in blank white areas of back cover which may be a flaw as issued; one very small area of spot-staining at upper side edge of text block. Interior very fine with only tiny bumps at lower edges of a few page leaves; otherwise substantially mint. Very Fine. [Item #3127]
