(from "Prayer," pg. 8) An early chapbook of poems by Joseph Bruchac, the acclaimed, prolific part-Native American poet, troubadour & musician. The colophon states: "Printed in an edition of one thousand. 700 copies were distributed free to Patrons of Cold Mountain Press. 300 were specially designed, and were numbered and signed by Joseph Bruchac and Gretchen Reed." This is one of the 700 regular copies. Reed is the artist who created the illustration reproduced on front cover. An essential component in the vast Bruchac canon. In near-fine condition with mild-to-moderate rubbing, scratching & light, faint creasing of front, esp. back covers & stapled spine; mild wear & tiny bumps at edges & corners of same; one vertical approx. 2" slash beginning at spine through blank area of front cover, non-penetrating except for one tiny pinhole just below it, & echoing through inner front cover & first two page leaves; staples in process of rusting with just a tiny amount of interior bleeding; mild rubbing & browning at edges of text block esp. bottom edge. Interior very fine with only miniscule staple-rust bleeding noted above; tiny bumps & creases at corners of some page leaves. Near Fine. [Item #3198]
