Williamstown, MA: The Poetry Miscellany, 1972. First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. Signed by Diane Wakoski. This somewhat early number of the Massachusetts poetry journal features two poems by Diane Wakoski, the acclaimed & prolific poet who has long resided in Michigan. The poems, "Gold" & "Some Constantly Beseiged Castle," are both subtitled & dedicated "for the King of Spain." At the top of the first poem "Gold," Wakoski has hand-written her signature with characteristic series of vertical doodles below her printed name (pg. 22). Also in this issue are contributions by Barbara Howes & other esteemed poets; & reviews of contemporary volumes by poets, including Howes & Wakoski by Sharon Tower. A very rare & collectible issue in this venerable series, especially with the signature of one of its most distinguished contributors.
