A chapbook of miscellaneous "fictionselections" by Joe Napora, the impassioned & prolific American poet, editor, publisher & contrarian activist. Sort of hybrids between short essays & prose-poems concerning many topics, in various fonts & formats. On blank front endpaper, Napora has hand-inscribed & signed: "Thomas-/ (drawing of compass-points or star)/ No shortcuts to(?)/ the friendship-/ Love/ (signed) Joe." "Thomas," the recipient of this warm inscription with a play on the work's title, is Thomas Rain Crowe, the acclaimed poet & publisher who was at the center of the Baby Beat Generation/ Second San Francisco Renaissance during the 1970s (see our book, Starting from San Francisco, item No. 3071, Deluxe Edition No. 3075). Crowe & Napora are friends & colleagues; we obtained this from Crowe, our good friend & mentor. A very rare & rewarding Napora collectible, with kindred poet-to-poet association & provenance. In very fine condition with only very slight rubbing & short, faint creases to front, back covers & stapled spine; a bit of wear & a few tiny bumps at edges & corners of same. Interior very fine with only tiny bumps, creases at upper corners & edges of page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #3615]
