ISBN: (ISSN)10879830
Ashland, KY: BullHead, 1997. First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. Signed by Joe Napora. The fifth number of the literary "journal of New Poetry" founded, edited & with contributions by Joe Napora, the impassioned & prolific American poet, editor, publisher & activist. Featuring poems by David Baratier, Mark Hartenbach, Alexi Kruchenykh, Barbara Mor, Napora, Fred Whitehead, Karl Young & many more. With many very interesting fonts, graphics, illustrations, foldout presentations etc. On the front of the slender folded title sheet that forms the first page of this & all issues of BullHead, Napora has hand-written his signature in bold black ink, with some smudging at & running below first name. Chapbook-style booklet in blank stapled wrappers in illustrated overwrap with glued flaps. Another collectible issue in this series, with talented & challenging (if not well-known) contributors- Napora's editorial goals had really kicked in here: "Since BullHead exists as a work-in-process, changing as readers/ writers respond to it, it is unlikely that someone who is not an active reader of BullHead will have work included in it." (sort-of-copyright page). In very fine condition with only mild rubbing to front, back covers & stapled spine; very light wear & a few tiny bumps at edges & corners of same. Interior very fine with only signature smudging noted above; tiny bumps at corners of page leaves. Very Fine. [Item #3672]
