Williams, a towering poet in American Letters and a primary influence on the development of Ginsberg, was a key figure to endorse and embrace the Beats early on in their literary trajectories. Ginsberg's notes--penned in a manner evocative of his classic "Indian Journals"--read like prose-poetry, capturing the vastness of a mind such as Williams' with impressive acuity and candor.
